Pain enables an unveiling of mystery - an impossible secret
concealed in the heart of Life. The enigmatic possibility of
transformation is not immediately apparent to innocent eyes.
Because pain is undesirable, it does not appear helpful. Yet, in
common, it enlivens empathy, a bridge to another's world. Only by
courageously traversing the bridge of compassion can we promote
what we most desire, intimacy. Intimacy is a crowning achievement
for human beings. One Kind Word mysteriously transforms the
undesirable into the highly desirable.
